can anybody do magic ?

in almost every book the author says that you have a power inside you, some magical power

now my question is

do we need to activate that magical power to be successful with magic ? or its already activated in every human being ?

in many books i have seen rituals to activate this power and in many books there is nothing like that

so

what do you think

can anybody do magic ? and if yes than does it needs any type of activation or its inherently activated ?

It is inherent, but like everything, it requires training and application. That's all there is to it.

why only admins? i thought knowledge "wants to be free....." i will admit i want to see this mostly because i cant have it, but if you dont want others to desire it, dont let them know it is there..... then say they cant see it. that is just..... impolite. either share it or email it privately. that is a faux pas that feels like other sites with their elitist secrets.

my computer has serious issues. i really need a new one. sadly, i am also out of employment. it seems to be the way life is for a good many folks these days. i am utilizing my time in writing a grimoire on cthulhu mythos magick. i have worked some with amazing results. this stuff is supposed to be fictional, but the results have been very real. i really dont know how or why. perhaps the belief or fandom has made some of it real, like in tibetan thought forms (a la madame alexandra david-neel) or perhaps lovecraft tapped into something genuine when he wrote. i really dont know. my experiment with ithaqua had creepy results, so i am seriously more cautious now. but lesser experiments have rendered results. my meditation and lucid dreaming has taken me a few places right out of the fiction. maybe it is delusion. maybe it is real. again, it feels real, but i am uncertain, being a skeptic normally.

sorry about my reaction, but my computer showed stuff that apparently was not what you wrote. this is nothing new. it does this. combine that with a very sick mountain lion, my companion, and i have been a bit temperamental and cranky.

I do agree with xxxaxxxon. If you are alive, you can lear how to train the power within yourself, and be very good at it. The basic knowledge can be learned within an year and a day, if you have a mentor. If not, it can take years of your life. Still, you'll reach the knowledge all the same. After that, you must practice and keep on learning about your path and about yourself. That's the awfully hidden secret.
